APM and Guideway Design Modeling and Animation

Johnson/McKibben Architects, Inc
Modeled and Animated this entire project, interior and exterior. Our JMA facilities are equipped with the latest hardware and software to animate even the most difficult designs. On this project, JMA modeled the Stations, Trains, Guideways, and Terminals. Doing so allows you to travel to the APM Stations, board a train, travel to another station and detrain at another APM Station. This animation is very detailed and allow the Owner a realistic view of his project long before construction. This modeling was also the actual design process; every part of this project was modeled in 3D. 3D modeling and animation is our specialty.

DFW Automated People Mover Station

As a team member of the Terminal D/APM Station project at DFW, Johnson/McKibben Architects, Inc. is actively involved in the Design, Animation, and Construction Documents of this newest facility at DFW International Airport. As Design Architect on these eight APM stations, JMA has successfully answered a challenging design problem, with a creative design solution that will "speack to thte future". Transporting 1,126 people efficiently from every Terminal, every two minutes, so that the traveling public can make a connection at any terminal within eight minutes. Each Terminal, each station costs $14 million. The design process was fast track; working closely with several other teams, JMA accomplished the Design task.
